Madeline Delilah

Madeline Delilah first came to me in 1995 and has grown inside of me ever since.  First introduced to the world in my first one-woman show, all that... I toured  that show around the country.  Then in 2007, Metro Theater Company, under then Artistic Director Carol North, commissioned me to write a new play about the character and Delilah's Wish was born.  The show was directed by Nicholas Kryah and toured for 18 months to over 20,000 people and 85 shows. Suffer the Children, the second Madeline Delilah play, was written during the Midwest Regional Playwrights Cohort and produced by COCA in March of 2021. Currently, I am in preproduction for her latest play, Bold, Brave, Curious! Commissioned by Metro Theater Company and premiering March 2022. 

I knew from the first time that script was read Delilah's Wish before a live audience that this character would become more than just that one or two plays.   So, I wrote two chapter books and had a doll created for her.  The books are, Madeline Delilah: Extraordinarily Ordinary Book 1: Missing Momma and Not a Happy Camper. Currently, I am developing an animated series.
